Teaching with Differentiation

Teaching the present-perfect tense to a high school Spanish class, accounting for learner variability and individual student needs

How can we plan classes that cater to a variety of student needs and levels?

In the below lesson plan, I outline my approach to teaching high school Spanish content while meeting the individual and varying needs of my learners across a single class.

We almost always have students coming into the room at different levels. So what is a teacher to do?

Teach to the middle of the group? (Nope.) Focus on the strugglers? (Not necessarily.)

It's my mission to help you challenge each and every student, without leaving anyone behind or forgotten... and without multiplying your own workload ten-fold.
