In the below work, I summarize the phases of engagement according to O'Brien and Toms (2008). Then I define the Point of Engagement attributes, and the Period of Engagement attributes, and give an example of each. Next I describe attributes of disengagement. Finally, I put all these pieces together to provide a framework for evaluating an interactive learning medium's level of likely learner engagement.
